Iran Press/ Iran news: Issa Zarepour, Minister of Communications and Information Technology in an open session of the Islamic Consultative Assembly said: "The National Information Network, as the infrastructure of the country's cyberspace, is one of the most important and strategic projects that must be implemented quickly.
Noting that more than 120 major projects have been defined under the National Information Network (NIN) in the Supreme Council of Cyberspace, Iran's ICT minister said: "Many of our problems today are due to cut of fiber-optics, and in such a situation, if we have our own high-speed internal network, the Internet should not be cut off or slowed down at all."
Zarepour emphasized: "Because of the geographical advantages, we are the best route for network traffic in the region, and the countries around us to connect to data centers in Europe must be connected by sea routes, and sea routes have more delays and low security while if this connection is through Iran, more safety and speed will be provided.
