Tehran (IP) - Iran's Minister of Communications and Information Technology, who is in Turkey, discussed the establishment of joint regional data centers with the Ministers of Communications and Information of the Organization of Developing Countries.

Iran PressAsia: Issa Zarepour, Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Iran, in the 12th session of the communication and information council of the Organization of Developing Countries in Turkey, explained the progress and capabilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran in communications and information technologies.

Zarepour stressed the need to make the most of information technology to improve the quality of human life and the need for planning to develop regional platforms.

On the sidelines of the meeting, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Iran met with the Ministers of Communications and Information Technology of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Turkey, and the Secretary-General of the Organization of Developing Countries and said: "Soon we will see the planning of countries in the region for the development of regional platforms as well as the launch of joint data centers."

The twelfth session of the communication and information council of the Organization of Developing Countries ended yesterday (Friday) in Istanbul, Turkey, with the participation of ministers and representatives of 55 countries.
