Tehran Prosecutor Ali Salehi stated that following the completion of preliminary investigations, all individuals involved in these crimes are now subject to legal prosecution.
Highlighting the severity of the first case, Salehi noted that the primary charge is “participation in corruption on earth through acts of terrorism.”
“Targeting the highest political authority of the Islamic Republic with the intent of destabilizing the state structure carries definite criminal liability for both the perpetrators and the masterminds, under both domestic law and international counter-terrorism conventions,” he emphasized.
Rejecting any claims that civilian deaths could be dismissed as “collateral damage,” the Prosecutor stressed: “From a legal perspective, the death of women, children, and other non-combatants cannot be excluded from the definition of a terrorist act.”
He further noted that these indictments serve as more than just domestic legal documents; they will act as formal legal evidence for the Islamic Republic to pursue the perpetrators and architects of these crimes in international courts, citing principles of humanitarian law and the protection of civilians.
Regarding the terrorist attack on the Shajareh Tayyebah school in Minab, the Tehran Prosecutor confirmed that after reviewing all evidence, the indictment has been issued and referred to the court for a final verdict.
