"We have sought nothing beyond our legitimate rights," Pezeshkian stated. "If the other side wishes to continue, we remain committed to the very memorandum we signed. Should the U.S. return to that accord, we will abide by it as well."
The Iranian president emphasized that Washington cannot impose unlawful demands on Tehran, and reiterated Iran's firm stance against U.S. and Israeli aggression.
Pezeshkian also highlighted Iran's active membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and BRICS as part of a broader strategy to counter unilateralism.
Welcoming President Putin's call for a multilateral system, he expressed hope that nations striving to move away from unilateral dominance would prevail.
Condemning recent U.S. attacks on Iran, Pezeshkian asserted that major powers have no right to commit aggression under the pretext of superior strength, nor in disregard for international law.
He described the U.S. actions as "lacking any legal, scientific, or logical basis," citing the assassination of martyred Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Iranian commanders, scientists, innocent students, and attacks on civilians.
"There is no mental, rational, or international framework under which this conduct can be justified," he added, dismissing Washington's claims of upholding human rights and the rule of law as inconsistent with its actions.
