He observed that the spirit of resistance, over the past half-century, has repeatedly reinvigorated itself, emerging in ever-evolving forms to meet the exigencies of each era.
"We do not repudiate negotiation in principle," Qalibaf declared, "but we regard it as a tactical instrument within the broader strategy of resistance. The day we desist from combating the United States and the Zionist regime—in all its manifold manifestations—will mark the day of our unequivocal defeat."
Turning to the shifting regional landscape, the Speaker noted that even governments historically aligned with Washington now openly concede that the United States has become the primary catalyst for insecurity across the region. Citing the ongoing diplomatic exchanges with the American side, Qalibaf revealed that during the negotiations over a memorandum of understanding, Iran had insisted on the immediate cessation of hostilities against the Islamic Republic and its allies within the Resistance Front. This, he said, stood in stark contrast to Washington's initial 15-point proposal, which had demanded the complete dismantlement of Iran's missile program, nuclear activities, and resistance operations.
Reiterating Tehran's uncompromising stance on maritime security, Qalibaf issued a clear warning: the United States must honor its outstanding commitments under the Islamabad agreement before Iran would contemplate any action regarding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
In response, Basem Naim lauded Iran's political and military fortitude, characterizing it as a source of collective pride for the region. "Many regional states were taken by complete surprise by your steadfast performance against the United States," Naim remarked. "But we in Hamas always knew that should the moment of direct confrontation arrive, the enemy would be utterly astonished by Iran's resolve and capability."
Naim concluded with an unequivocal reaffirmation of the Palestinian cause, vowing that the resistance against the Zionist regime would persist relentlessly until every vestige of occupation is expunged from Palestinian soil—without compromise or cessation.
