Speaking after the Army’s air defense force unveiled several new systems, Elhami said Iran had gained valuable experience in recent wars across a broad range of military and defensive fields.
He said those lessons included tactics, weapons production and supply, employment of military equipment, passive defense, communications infrastructure, intelligence and surveillance, cyber operations and the use of emerging technologies.
“Many of these experiences have already been transformed into operational systems and equipment, which we are now producing and replicating,” Elhami said. He added that other capabilities were still undergoing further study at scientific, research and development institutions before being converted into operational systems.
The remarks came as commanders and personnel from Iran’s Army Air Defense Force held a ceremony at the mausoleum of the late Founder of Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini to mark the anniversary of the historic order establishing the Khatam al-Anbiya Air Defense Headquarters.
The ceremony included a renewal of allegiance to the ideals of the Islamic Revolution and a tribute to those martyred during the Revolution, the eight-year Iran-Iraq war and more recent wars on Iran.
Elhami’s comments highlight Iran’s emphasis on incorporating battlefield experience into the development of indigenous defense capabilities and expanding the country’s ability to respond to evolving aerial and technological threats.
