Speaking in a ceremony marking Islamic Unity Week, Qassem pointed to previous encounters with the Israeli regime, stating that Israel launched three wars but was forced to confront defeat due to the unwavering perseverance of the people.
"As long as the people remain steadfast and firm, the enemy will not be able to realize its projects and objectives," Qassem stressed. He noted that while resilience may come with heavy costs, it ultimately paves the way for restoring the resistance's position, enhancing its capabilities, and defeating the enemy's schemes.
Shifting focus to the theme of the week, Qassem highlighted the critical role of "practical and strategic unity" in safeguarding the vital issues of the Muslim world. He attributed this approach to the martyred leader, noting that it was this very strategy that kept the Palestinian cause alive and at the center of the Islamic world's attention.
The Hezbollah Secretary-General also issued a stark warning against internal divisions, cautioning that disputes among Muslims must not be allowed to create internal fronts. Such conflicts, he warned, risk causing the Muslim world to lose focus on its primary enemy.
Concluding his remarks, Qassem stressed that maintaining unity and focusing on the fundamental issues of the Islamic world are the most crucial factors in countering plots designed to create rifts and weaken the internal front.
