In a message released on the occasion of Islamic Unity Week, which commemorates the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the Leader stated that enemies are actively seeking to exploit racial, cultural, social, economic, political, and geographical differences among Muslims.
"The enemy strives to turn these differences into pretexts for creating discord among Muslims in Iran and every other Islamic country," the message read. The ultimate goal, the Leader added, is to fragment the Muslim Ummah, drain its power, and ultimately impose dominance over it when the opportunity arises.
Citing the Quranic injunction against internal disputes—which warns that arguing leads to failure and the loss of strength—the Leader noted that anyone who incites division among Muslims is effectively serving the enemies' agenda.
The message sharply criticized the U.S. and the Zionist regime, describing them as the "sworn enemies" of Islamic unity. "The criminal U.S. rulers and the fake Zionist regime have removed their deceptive masks and velvet gloves, showing their blood-stained claws to the whole world," the Leader stated, adding that these powers are enemies of the entire Islamic nation, not just Iran and the resistance front.
Addressing the rulers of Islamic countries, particularly in West Asia and the Persian Gulf, the Leader strongly advised them to recognize their real enemy and counter their plots. "If Muslims were a united fist... would the Palestinian people be so defenseless and subjected to the crimes of occupiers?" the Leader asked, adding that if regional nations were truly united, corrupt and identity-less figures would never dare to covet their lands and wealth from thousands of kilometers away.
Concluding the message, the Leader described unity as the cornerstone for mutual defense, cooperation in science, wealth, and security, and ultimately the foundation for achieving a dominant new Islamic civilization. The message also praised the successful implementation of unity within Iran, urging the Iranian nation to vigilantly safeguard this achievement against any form of discord.
