Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia stated on Friday that the U.S. is actively seeking to undermine or dismantle the Iranian Armed Forces’ operational dominance over the strategic Strait of Hormuz. In reaction, both the Army and the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) delivered a firm and decisive retaliation against the hostile act.
The spokesman underscored the remarkable speed of the Iranian military’s reaction, noting that within merely 15 minutes of the initial U.S. strike, the first volleys of Iranian missiles and drones were launched, successfully targeting four American bases situated in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Kuwait.
Akraminia further elaborated that the Army deployed highly effective Fath surface-to-surface missiles alongside Arash-2 combat drones during the operation. These munitions, he added, were equipped with cutting-edge artificial intelligence and advanced systems, rendering them exceptionally resistant to enemy interception and enabling them to strike their designated targets with precision and efficacy.
“We are persistently engaged in upgrading our military hardware, and we had previously announced this commitment,” he remarked.
Emphasizing Iran’s evolving strategic approach, the general noted that the armed forces now employ asymmetric warfare methodologies and integrated tactical combinations in their operations. This shift, he said, has yielded highly favorable results, allowing Iranian forces to engage targets with increased ease and effectiveness.
Drawing on lessons learned from past 12- and 40-day wars, the Army and the IRGC have entered the current confrontation with heightened readiness, morale, and self-assurance. “Today, our forces face the enemy with composure, swiftness, and profound confidence,” Akraminia asserted.
