Gharibabadi to Iraqi Minister of Justice:

Tehran(IP) -Vice-President of the Judiciary for International Affairs and Secretary-General of the I.R of Iran's High Council for Human Rights in a meeting with Iraqi Minister of Justice stressed that the perpetrators of the assassination of Lt Gen Qasem Soleimani should be identified and brought to justice as soon as possible.

During a meeting with the Iraqi Minister of Justice, Salar Abdul Sattar Mohammed, Gharibabadi stressed that the perpetrators of the assassination of Qasem Soleimani should be identified and brought to justice as soon as possible.

"In a meeting with the Iraqi Minister of Justice, I emphasized the need to expedite the identification and trial of the perpetrators of the assassination of Martyr Soleimani and his associates, and to convene the first meeting of the Joint Investigation Committee as soon as possible," he wrote in the Twitter message.

Gharibabadi added: "We also discussed bilateral legal and judicial interactions and human rights and the need to address the problems of nationals."

Previously, Kazem Gharibabadi served as Iran's Ambassador to the Vienna-based international organizations and has recently been appointed Secretary of Iran's Human Rights Headquarters at the end of his term.

Lt. Gen.Qasem Soleimani, commander of the IRGC's Quds Force, and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, deputy leader of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization  Units (Al-Hashd al-Shabi), along with eight others, became martyred on January 3, 2020, in an airstrike by US aggressors and terrorists near Baghdad Airport.
