Pakistan releases 17 Iranian sailors

Islamabad (IP)- Seventeen other Iranian sailors have been released from prison in Karachi, Pakistan, and returned to Iran.

Iran PressIran News: The information department of the Iranian Consulate General in Karachi announced: In order to realize the rights of Iranians abroad and with the follow-up of our country's consulate in Karachi, 17 other Iranian sailors were released from prison in Karachi, Pakistan and were returned by the airline of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the country.

The sailors were arrested and sent to prison by Pakistan Maritime Security Agency about four months ago for illegally entering Pakistani territorial waters.

With the release of this number of sailors, a total of 101 Iranian sailors, all of whom had been arrested by Pakistani forces were released and returned to Iran.
