Tehran (IP)- Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran called the deepening of Israel's relations with the United States Central Command(Centcom) a threat to the region and said: "We will not tolerate these threats and will certainly react to them."

Iran PressIran News: Earlier, the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) officially assumed responsibility for the military's relationship with Israel, taking over from the European Command (EUCOM), some eight months after the move was planned and announced.

Meeting with the Chief of the Chief of General Staff of Pakistan, Nadeem Raza, Maj. Gen. Mohammad Bagheri, Iran's Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, said, "The Zionist regime is trying to establish relations with the countries of the region and achieve interventionist goals by implementing plans."

The Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces also said: "We are concerned about the development of terrorism in Afghanistan. We have plans and believe that these issues will be resolved with the cooperation of Iran and Pakistan and there is no need for others to intervene."
