Hundreds of people in al-Hasakah province in northeastern Syria protested against the illegal presence of US troops in the country.

Iran PressMiddle East: The United States has built more than 28 military bases by occupying eastern and northeastern Syria. QSD militias have become American tools in these areas. The main purpose of the US occupation of parts of Syria, in addition to looting Syria's oil and underground resources, is to try to maintain a permanent presence on part of Syrian territory.

According to the Al-Mayadin network, the people of Hasakah province in Syria on Wednesday night protested and chanted slogans, condemning the illegal presence of US forces in Syria and looting of the country's oil resources.

Al-Hasakah residents staged a sit-in protest in Hafez al-Assad Square, condemning the destruction of a number of government facilities, including educational buildings by the US coalition, and the seizure of some university buildings in the province by QSD militias.

The Arab tribes and nomads have stated in response to the aggression of the occupiers that the which  is a violation of all moral and human values carried out with the support of the occupying US forces against the inhabitants of the region and their properties and assets.

The Syrian government has repeatedly stressed that US terrorist elements and their affiliated forces in eastern and northeastern Syria have no purpose other than to plunder the country's oil and must leave the region.
