A condolence book was opened at the Iranian Embassy in Pakistan for Iranian commanders, scientists, and citizens martyred in U.S.-Israeli attacks.

Why it matters:

The killing of Iranian military commanders and nuclear scientists by Israel in a terrorist act following its attack on Iran drew widespread global condemnation.

The big picture:

In Islamabad, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, diplomats, military, political, religious, and social figures signed the condolence book.

They offered condolences to Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam and prayed for the Iranian martyrs and the recovery of the injured.
