Karachi (IP) – Iran and Pakistan signed a document on Wednesday to form a joint trade council.

Iran PressAsia: Headed by the President of Iran's Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA), Gholam-Hossein Shafei, an Iranian private sector delegation, signed the document during a visit to Karachi.

The signing ceremony was also attended by Iran's Ambassador to Pakistan, Mohammad-Ali Hosseini, and the President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FPCCI), Irfan Iqbal Sheikh.

Promoting bilateral trade to $5 billion is among the primary objectives of forming the joint trade council between the two neighboring states.
