Tehran (IP) – Iran's Health Ministry spokeswoman announced on Friday that 117 COVID-19 patients had lost their lives, bringing the total death toll to 62,876.

Iran Press/Iran News: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to April 02, 2021, newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 11,660 cases out of whom 1,330 patients were hospitalized, Sima Sadat Lari stated. She noted that in the past 24 hours, 117 COVID-19 patients had lost their lives, bringing the total death toll to 62,876.

She added: "So far, 1,908,974 people in the country had contracted coronavirus, and 1,633,949 recovered."

4,005 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition, according to the spokeswoman.

So far, 12,963,778 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across the country, the Health Ministry spokeswoman pointed.

According to the latest analysis, 46 cities are classified as red zones, 119 as orange, 246 as yellow, and 37 as blue zones.
