Iran Press/Europe: According to the Syrian state news agency (SANA), an official at the Syrian Foreign Ministry said that the European Union is responsible for shedding the blood and suffering of the Syrian people by supporting terrorism in all its forms and carrying out economic terrorism; thus this organization has no right to pretend to worry about the Syrians.
The Syrian official in a statement, said: "The European Union issued a statement on Syria that was full of fallacies and untrue allegations proving the continuation of its hostile policies towards Syria."
According to the source, the European Union's involvement in the invasion of Syria by supporting terrorist groups in various forms and carrying out economic terrorism through unilateral and illegal coercive actions, make European Union responsible for shedding Syrian blood and the suffering of Syrians.
He continued: "As a result, the European Union has no right to pretend to be concerned about the Syrians and is not qualified to play a positive role as long as it is obsessed by an approach that has proven its failure."
The source continued: "Regarding the conferences that the European Union holds on Syria, bringing together many enemies of the Syrian people and their tools from among the terrorists, this is a continuation of the wrong approach of Europe in dealing with the situation in Syria and its constant efforts to undermine the national sovereignty of Syria.
The Syrian official said: "The tenth anniversary of the unfair war against Syria is an opportunity to condemn the hostile policies of the European Union, and this institution should learn from the failure of its policies and take another approach based on respect for Syrian sovereignty and national interests." 219
