The Iranian Interior Minister received a warm welcome at Pakistan's Ministry of Interior, where a contingent of the Federal Constabulary presented a guard of honour.
Mohsin Naqvi introduced senior officials of the Ministry of Interior and its attached departments to the visiting minister, while members of the Iranian delegation were also introduced.
The two interior ministers held one-on-one talks followed by delegation-level discussions covering bilateral relations, regional developments, and cooperation in key security sectors.
Both sides agreed to strengthen collaboration in counterterrorism, anti-narcotics operations, curbing illegal immigration, and preventing human trafficking.
They also emphasized the need for a coordinated approach to combat terrorism and drug trafficking along the Afghan border.
The ministers decided to improve institutional coordination to further enhance bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors.
Speaking on the occasion, Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said Pakistan is ready to expand cooperation with Iran in all fields. He also praised Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni for their extraordinary efforts in promoting peace, expressing hope that positive developments would soon emerge to further strengthen regional peace and stability.
The Iranian delegation included the Governor General of Sistan and Baluchestan Province, the Deputy Interior Minister, the Deputy Minister for Urban Development and Transport, the head of the National Iranian Oil Company, the Special Representative of Iran's Minister of Agriculture, and other senior officials.
Pakistan's Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, the Federal Interior Secretary, Chairman NADRA, Director General FIA, Director General Anti-Narcotics Force, Inspector General Federal Constabulary, Director General NCCIA, Director General Immigration and Passports, Chairman CDA, Inspector General Islamabad Police, and additional secretaries of the Ministry of Interior also attended the meeting.
