Tehran (IP) - Iran’s judiciary spokesman said in his weekly presser on Tuesday, Iran’s membership in the UN women’s commission helped protect women’s rights across the world.

Iran PressIran news: Commenting on the negative reaction of the UN watchdog toward Iran’s membership in the UN women’s commission, Gholamhossein Esmaeili told Iran Press, based on Islamic thoughts, the Islamic Republic of Iran considered the most dignity for women.

He noted that the Islamic government took care of women’s rights and dignity in all aspects seriously.

Iran’s judiciary spokesman added that women’s rights were spoiled in most Western societies, and women are considered a tool rather than considering their dignity.

"In Western societies, women are being abused in the framework of freedom, and the US and Europe are the symbols of weakening human rights. Its samples are vivid," the judiciary spokesman noted.
