Ansarullah leader:

Yemen (IP) - The leader of Yemen's Ansarullah Movement says the US' suppression of the American student movement and their peaceful protests is a complete scandal for the American authorities.

Iran Press/ West Asia: Delivering a speech on Thursday evening, Abdul Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi said that the American student's peaceful anti-Israeli protests are getting spread across the country and have revealed the US authorities' lies.

The American student protest movement began on April 17 at Columbia University in New York; the protesting students called on the university to cut off its relations with the Israeli institutions involved in the war on Gaza.

Al-Houthi criticized the US' double standards concerning freedom of speech and recalled: "The US student movement just calls for the termination of the war on Gaza. Handcuffing and insulting a woman university professor is a sign of the US' disregard for human rights and freedom."

Elsewhere, he referred to the Palestinian resistance forces' rockets fired from within Gaza to Asqalan in response to the Israeli regime's ongoing attacks on Gaza; and said the responses have shocked the US and Israeli authorities.

The leader of the Ansarullah movement also touched on the operations against the Israeli regime by Lebanon's Hezbollah and the Yemeni army forces' operation in Umm ul-Rashrash and the Red Sea, describing the operation as effective against the regime and supporters.

"This week we carried out 8 operations in the Gulf of Aden, the Arabian Sea, the Indian Ocean and southern Palestine. The eighth operation was carried out with 33 ballistic and winged missiles and drones. We targeted 6 ships affiliated with the Zionist enemy, America and England," he reported.

He added that the Yemeni army has so far targeted 176 vessels affiliated with the Israeli regime during the 156 operations it carried out against the regime.

The Yemeni leader said that the US and the UK now are worried about the operation in the Indian Ocean.

Yemen declared the Red Sea, Arab Sea, and Bab ul-Mandab, and now the Indian Ocean, secure for navigation except for those ships that went to occupied Palestine to provide the Israeli regime with logistic and military aid.
