Iran Press/ Iran news: In a phone conversation, Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and Estonia's Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna talked about the opportunities and capacities of cooperation between the two countries and emphasized mutual readiness to further develop relations.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of our country stated in response to the request of the Estonian side regarding the ship seized in the territorial waters of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the release of the Estonian crew, said: "The seized ship, which turned off its radar in the territorial waters of Iran jeopardizing the security of navigation, has been seized under legal regulations, but Iran has released all its crew with a humane approach, and if the ship's captain cooperates, they can return to their country, including Estonians."
Amir-Abdollahian noted that all vessels are expected to observe laws to maintain maritime security, he added.
Amir-Abdollahian, regarding the developments in Palestine, stressed: "The depth of the tragedy of the genocide and the crimes committed by the Zionists in Gaza requires that all countries strive to establish a lasting ceasefire, completely remove the human blockade, exchange prisoners and prevent further crimes by the Israeli regime in Gaza."
Estonian foreign minister, for his part, appreciated Iran’s cooperation in releasing the crew members of the ship. He also called for collaboration among all countries to help stop the war in Gaza.
