In a statement on Friday, Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi described the anti-Iran allegations made in the statement of the eighth ministerial meeting of the Quartet Arab Committee as ill-founded, baseless, delusive and offensive.
Qassemi expressed regret that certain countries in the region continue to insist on their hostile stance against the Islamic Republic and have forgotten the arch enemy of the Islamic Ummah.
Foreign ministers of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain held a preparatory meeting in Dammam on Thursday on the sidelines of the 29th Arab Summit, which is scheduled to start on Sunday, expressing concern about what they called Iran’s interference in the internal affairs of Arab countries. They also claimed that Tehran is providing ballistic missiles to Yemen’s Ansarullah movement.
“All the aforesaid in the statement of the quartet Arab committee, which was held in the presence of the secretary general of the Arab League, is a lie, groundless and the continuation of the trend that unfortunately undermine regional stability and tranquility,” said Qassemi.
