The Emir of Qatar, in a telephone conversation with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, stated that the Qatari government will spare no effort to promote peace and stability in the region.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, exchanged Eid al-Adha greetings during a phone call and wished lasting peace, prosperity, and tranquility for the governments and peoples of the two Muslim nations.

During the conversation, Pezeshkian expressed appreciation for the continuous and constructive efforts of the Qatari government, particularly the personal role played by the Emir of Qatar in advancing peace initiatives. He also announced the Islamic Republic of Iran’s readiness to reach a “dignified framework” aimed at ending the war and tensions in the region.

Emphasizing that Iran has always remained committed to political principles and the spirit of agreements, the President said: “The Islamic Republic of Iran has demonstrated its sincerity and commitment to the path of dialogue, and now it is time for the other side to show its will and uphold its international commitments both in word and in practice.”

Pezeshkian also thanked the Emir of Qatar for his special efforts toward achieving a comprehensive and just agreement, stressing that intensive and expert-level work is underway to finalize the relevant documents and draft texts in order to establish a clear path toward stability.

Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, for his part, expressed hope that a final agreement would soon be reached to end the conflicts in the region. Reaffirming Doha’s longstanding position, he stated that the Qatari government will spare no effort in advancing regional peace, security, and stability, and will continue its mediation role.
