During the conversation, President Pezeshkian described Eid al-Adha as a manifestation of faith, solidarity, and unity among Muslim nations, stating that Islamic countries can draw inspiration from the teachings of this great occasion to further expand joint cooperation, reinforce regional cohesion, and develop friendly relations.
The Iranian President also expressed appreciation for the Kyrgyz Republic’s stance in opposing the recent anti-Iranian resolution at the United Nations Security Council, describing the position as a sign of the friendly relations, mutual respect, and Bishkek’s independent and responsible approach toward international issues.
Referring to the growing relations between Tehran and Bishkek, President Pezeshkian stressed the necessity of expanding bilateral cooperation in the political, economic, trade, transportation, energy, and regional spheres, and called for more active utilization of the shared capacities of Iran and Kyrgyzstan within the framework of regional and international organizations.
The two sides also reviewed the latest state of bilateral cooperation and interactions, emphasizing the continuation of consultations and the strengthening of cooperation in pursuit of the shared interests of the two nations.
For his part, the President of Kyrgyzstan congratulated the government and people of Iran on Eid al-Adha and invited the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran to attend the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit to be held in Bishkek. He expressed hope that the visit would contribute to expanding cooperation and relations between the two countries and among the member states of the organization.
