Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf remained the Speaker with 235 votes out of 271 votes cast.
Osman Salari and Mohammad-Taqi Naqdali were the other candidates for Speaker of the Parliament.
Naqdali received 29 votes and Salari received 7 votes. 5 votes were blank out of 276.
The process of holding the election was different from previous years; previously, the elections were held by ballot, but this year they were held by direct vote of the MPs and through electronic ballot boxes.
