The Iranian parliament’s Research Center held a specialized session on the third of Khordad, marking the anniversary of the liberation of Khorramshahr, to examine human rights mechanisms for securing the rights of women and children martyred in the imposed war on Iran.

The event honored the martyrs of the U.S.-Zionist regime's war on Iran, especially the children martyred at Shajareh Tayebeh School in Minab.

On 28 February 2026, the first day of the U.S.-Israeli War on Iran, the Shajareh Tayyebeh Elementary School in Minab, Hormozgan province, southern Iran, was destroyed by a missile strike.
