The two sides also discussed strategies to strengthen peace, stability, and security in the West Asian region.
Field Marshal Munir arrived in Tehran on Friday as part of ongoing mediation efforts concerning talks between Iran and the United States.
Upon his arrival, he was welcomed by Iran's Minister of Interior, Eskandar Momeni.
