Ali Ramazani, director of Tehran's Book Garden, told Iran Press that the event revolves around four main axes: works on the late Leader's intellectual system, books he recommended for study, literature on contemporary issues, and Iranian books translated into other languages.
The event takes place against the backdrop of profound national mourning. Ayatollah Khamenei was martyred during the U.S.-Israeli military aggression against Iran that began on February 28, 2026.
Among the most horrific atrocities of that onslaught was the bombing of the Shajareh Tayyebeh Girls' Elementary School in Minab, where over 168 schoolchildren and their teacheres were murdered by the U.S. strikes on the school. Additionally, the Dena naval vessel was targeted in a separate strike, resulting in the martyrdom of its crew. These events have deepened the spiritual and cultural resolve of the Iranian nation.
In light of these sacrifices, the "Ordibehesht-e Ketab" event also includes special tributes to the martyrs of the Dena naval vessel and an exhibition titled "The Eyes of Minab," which honors the memory of the student martyrs of the Shajareh Tayyebeh School.
A young visitor was asked of her feelings about the event and she said:
Through these commemorations, the event seeks to preserve the revolutionary and literary heritage of the martyred Leader while keeping alive the names and legacies of those who fell victim to U.S.-Israeli aggression.
