The annual tradition of selecting a unified motto for the Arba'een pilgrimage is a result of deep cooperation and synergy between cultural institutions in Iran, Iraq, and across the broader Resistance Front.
A Motto Rooted in the Spirit of Resistance
At the ceremony attended by cultural figures from regional countries and other foreign guests, Head of Central Arba'een Headquarters Ali-Akbar Pourjamshidian announced that the motto roots in resistance spirit:
“This choice is a direct reflection of the events of the past year and the recent, critical developments concerning the Resistance Front. It captures the essence of the path of Imam Hussein (AS) and serves as a powerful reminder of the stance taken by the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, who famously reiterated Imam Hussein's (AS) words, ‘One like me shall never pledge allegiance to one like Yazid.’”
Collective Voice of the Islamic World
The motto was selected from a shortlist of 200 candidates submitted by cultural institutions across the Islamic world. The final selection was bolstered by a public survey conducted by the official website of the martyred Leader, where the public voted on his most impactful statements from the past year.
Unveiling of Arba'een Cultural Milestones
Additionally, the event featured the presentation of the 12th Global Arba'een Award and the release of four significant scholarly works dedicated to the study of the Arba'een phenomenon.
The selection of this motto serves to reinforce the global message of the Arba'een pilgrimage, emphasizing the values of dignity, justice, and unwavering resistance against oppression.
