Following the meeting with the Omani Foreign Minister, an extensive session was held between the Omani and Iranian delegations. The talks centered on reviewing a set of principles governing the passage of vessels through the Strait of Hormuz. Both sides emphasized the importance of upholding security and the national sovereignty of the coastal states along the strategic waterway, in accordance with applicable international law.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al-Harthy, the Omani Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, along with several other high-ranking officials from both sides.
