Iran Press/Iran news: Latifi added: "According to data, during the first nine months of this year, exports to Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Russia totaled more than two and half million tones, worth $ 783 million, which represents a 116 percent increase in terms of weight and 72 percent in terms of value compared to the same period last year."
According to an Iran Press report, the spokesman for Iran's Custom Organisation reiterated: "Iran's imports from the Eurasian Economic Union countries in the first nine months of this year amounted to more than two million and 274 thousand tones, worth $ 991 million dollars, and this means 47 percent increase in terms of weight and a seven percent decrease in terms of value compared to the same period last year."
Elsewhere in his remarks, Latifi said: "On the Eurasian Union's share of trade with our country, Iran's exports to Eurasian countries during the nine-month period amounted to about 2.42 percent by weight and 2.46 percent by value of Iran's total non-oil exports."
He added: "Iran's imports from these countries amounted to about 9.1 percent by weight and 3.1 percent by value of the country's total imports. The average value of goods imported from the Eurasian Union countries has also reached $ 436000 dollars in the first nine months of this year," the spokesman added.
Iran has always stressed its readiness to boost trade with neighboring and regional countries, including Eurasian countries to mitigate the harmful effects of unilateral US sanctions against Tehran. 212/211/101
