The chairman of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy commission Heshmatollah Falahatpisheh

The chairman of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy commission said that British Foreign and Commonwealth Office’s recent statement claiming that Iran is insecure for foreign nationals and dual nationals indicates the British government's insincerity in relation to Iran.

Iran PressIran news: Senior MP Heshmatollah Falahatpisheh said on Saturday: “Iranians have on several occasions announced that Islamic affection and kindness is the criterion for treating foreign nationals and dual nationals and Iran has also voiced readiness to interact with the world.”

Noting that Iran’s judiciary is independent and acts independently and irrespective of political affairs, Falahatpisheh said: "British officials are seeking to create an anti-Iran atmosphere and they are politicking against Iran, despite the fact they have occasionally adopted friendly stances."

According to an Iran Press report, the chairman of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy commission noted that certain Western states’ propaganda against Iran’s security and independence, saying they deliberately misrepresent the situation in Iran, which is a secure and stable country in the region.

It should be noted that Britain's Foreign and Commonwealth Office in a recent statement called on dual nationals to avoid trips to Iran due to possibility of being arrested.
