Hassan Yazdani won the silver medal in the 86 kg final match of the freestyle wrestling world championships 2022.

Iran PressEurope: The classification and final competitions for 70, 79, 86 and 125 kg weight categories started on Friday night at 20:30 Iran time in the Stark Arena Hall in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia.

In the final match, Yazdani faced Olympic and world champion David Taylor and lost 7-1 and won the silver medal. This was the second silver medal of the national freestyle wrestling team in the 2022 World Championship in Serbia.

Earlier, Mohammed Nokhodi lost to Jordan Burrows, the American wrestler, in the 79 kg final fight and repeated his 2021 silver medal.

In the next few minutes, Amir Hossein Zare, the representative of Iran's 125 kg weight, wrestles to win the bronze medal. 219
