Tehran (IP) - The Head of Iranian Parliament's Commission for National Security and Foreign Policy stressed his country's readiness to expand ties with Uzbekistan on all common economic grounds.

Iran PressIran News: Meeting with Uzbekistan's Deputy Foreign Minister Furqat Sadiqov, Iran's Mojtaba Zonnouri pointed to the two countries' common religious and cultural grounds and said strengthening the cultural aspects of the two nations must be given a special place.

Furqat Sadiqov for his part said that in addition to religious, cultural, and civil common grounds also the political view of the two countries is much close to each other. 

"Uzbekistan welcomes the expansion of parliamentary ties between the two countries and believes that parliamentary friendship groups and specialized commissions of the two parliaments can play an effective role in strengthening cooperation between the two countries," the Uzbek official said. 219
