Hamas has warned that the Israeli regime’s relentless attacks and repeated violations of the Gaza ceasefire have pushed the Sharm el-Sheikh agreement to the brink of collapse, despite its supervision by Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, and the United States.

Why it matters:

The collapse of Sharm el-Sheikh deal could plunge Gaza back into full-scale war, worsening an already catastrophic humanitarian crisis.

What they are saying:

In a statement, the movement said:

"We signed the Sharm el-Sheikh agreement on October 9, 2025, reaffirming both sides’ commitment to all its clauses and its implementation under the supervision and guarantees of Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, and the United States."

Hamas added:

"We remain fully and sincerely committed to implementing this agreement. None of the mediating or guaranteeing parties have reported any violation by Hamas. On the contrary, we have done everything to uphold the letter and spirit of the deal to bring stability and relieve the suffering of the Palestinian people in Gaza."

The big picture:

According to Hamas, the Israeli regime has violated the ceasefire “since day one,” targeting civilians and destroying homes. The movement says each violation has been documented and submitted with evidence — including photos and reports — to the mediators.

State of play:

Israeli airstrikes on Deir al-Balah killed five civilians on Sunday.

Hamas insists it is honoring the ceasefire and sharing evidence of Israeli violations with mediators.

Mediating states — Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, and the U.S. — have not yet publicly responded.

What to watch:

Whether Egypt and Qatar can revive or enforce the Sharm el-Sheikh deal will determine if Gaza sees renewed fighting or a return to fragile calm.
