The Prime Minister of Malaysia, while supporting Iran’s right to respond to the Zionist regime’s attacks, emphasized the necessity for his country to adopt an independent and justice-oriented stance regarding regional developments.

Anwar Ibrahim stated, "As an independent and sovereign nation, Malaysia must be able to comment on and take a position regarding the U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran."

He defended Iran’s right to respond against Israeli attacks but also called for justice, peace, and an end to violence.

The Malaysian Prime Minister also highlighted the importance of preserving human lives, justice, and the global impact of war, saying, "If the Strait of Hormuz is closed, it will pose a major problem for the global economy."

He added that foreign interference, including from the United States, has made the situation more complicated.

Anwar had previously stated that Israel should not carry out provocative and violent actions against other countries and that Iran’s decision to respond to Israeli attacks was entirely fair. He stressed that Malaysia should support Iran’s right to retaliate and protect its dignity.

Earlier, the United States launched an attack early Sunday, targeting three nuclear sites—Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan—joining Israeli war against Iran. Following this action, Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, issued a statement emphasizing that, based on the United Nations Charter and its provisions, which allow for legitimate self-defense, Iran reserves all options to defend its sovereignty, interests, and people.

The International Atomic Energy Organization also issued a statement condemning the attack on Iran’s nuclear sites in Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan, describing it as a savage act that violates international laws, especially the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). It added: “We will not allow the development path of this national industry to be halted.”

The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that it had begun the twentieth round of missile-drone combined attacks against military targets and industrial centers affiliated with the military industry in the cities of Haifa and Tel Aviv.
