Pakistan senior cleric: Iran overcomes challenges despite outrageous US sanctions

The principal of Hawza Elmiye Jamia-tul-Muntazar in Lahore has said that Iran had overcome challenges despite outrageous US sanctions, relying on domestic sources.

Iran PressAsia: The prominent Shia cleric and head of the Pakistani seminary Allama Hafiz Syed Riaz Hussain Najafi wrote a letter to Ayatollah َAlireza Arafi, Chairman of Al-Mustafa International University on Monday.

He praised the impressive efforts of the Iranian nation and government in facing various crises, especially the Corona outbreak, despite economic sanctions.

"While almost the entire world suffers from the Coronavirus crisis, thanks to God, the government and the people of Iran, despite economic sanctions with confidence and reliance on their resources, have overcome this serious challenge and were able to create a hopeful situation.," the letter reads.

Jamia-tul-Muntazar Lahore, is  the largest Shia madrassah in Pakistan.
