Tehran (IP) - The Minister of Eurasia Economic Union announced the readiness of the union to expand economic cooperation with Iran.

Iran Press/Europe: In a phone call to the Iranian envoy to Russia Kazem Jalali, Andrey Slepnev said Eurasia Economic Union supports Iran’s actions against coronavirus and is ready to notice the union’s member states of Iran’s needs in this regard. 

Andrey Slepnev called the US sanction against Iran illogical, particularly amid the global campaign against the coronavirus crisis.

He also referred to the expansion of trade exchange between Iran and the union’s member states, saying that it promises more promotion of Iran’s ties with its neighbors and the whole region. 

Kazem Jalali on his part stressed Iran’s determination to implement the agreements with the member states, calling for more use of the existing potentials to develop trade between the two sides.

Eurasia Economic Union includes five countries namely Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, and Belarus.

In the framework of the agreement signed between the two sides, 502 Iranian exporting goods to the Eurasia Economic Union member states enjoyed preferential tariff.
