Serbia (IP) - Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs says Iran and Serbia are seeking to expand cooperation in various fields.

Iran PressIran News: Ali Bagheri Kani who is in Belgrade on the formal invitation of his Serbian counterpart met with some Serbian media.

He told the media that through signing important cooperation agreements in the political, economic, and cultural fields, the legal foundations of Iran-Serbia relations would be strengthened in the near future.

Judicial cooperation, social welfare, sports, health, and higher education were among the other areas of cooperation agreements to be signed, according to Bagheri. 

The agreements have been scheduled to be signed during the visit of Iran's Foreign Minister to Serbia and the Serbian President's visit to Iran. 

The Deputy of Iran's Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani earlier had traveled to Budapest for political consultations with Hungarian officials, including the Hungarian Parliament's Commission of Foreign Policy Zsolt Attila Németh.
