Iran, Serbia sign scientific, academic agreement

Belgrade (IP) - Two memorandums of scientific and academic cooperation between Iran and Serbia were signed by Iva Draskic Vicanovic, Dean of the Faculty of Philology at the University of Belgrade, and Mehdi Shirazi, the Iran Embassy's cultural attache in Serbia.

Iran PressEurope: Referring to the educational activities of the Persian language chair of the University of Belgrade, Iran's Ambassador Rashid Hassanpour expressed his satisfaction with the high number of students interested in learning Persian.

He also emphasized the need for more communication between Serbian professors, students, and researchers with Iranian academic and scientific centers.

During the meeting, Iva Draskic Vicanovic also said: "The spiritual structure of this college is based on the pillars of Persian language and literature."

While praising the high scientific level of Iranian universities, he welcomed scientific and academic relations between the University of Belgrade and Iranian educational institutions.
