Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy has attacked a U.S. unmanned surface vessel (USV) that was attempting to enter a designated protected area in the Strait of Hormuz, and a U.S. aircraft carrier and a destroyer according to statements issued by the IRGC.

IRGC statement says:

In the name of God, the Almighty and the Avenger

The proud and courageous people of the Islamic Republic of Iran;

The heroic naval forces of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps attacked a U.S. military unmanned surface vessel that was attempting to enter the protected area of the Strait of Hormuz.

By the grace and favor of Almighty God, every hostile move by the enemy is being closely monitored by the brave and self-sacrificing personnel of the IRGC Navy and will be met with a decisive response.

The Strait of Hormuz, the strategic waterway, is under the management of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and any hostile move by the child-killing enemy will be met with a firm response.

The aggressor United States must understand that it has no choice but to leave the region and stop its hostile actions.

Also, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force targeted a U.S. aircraft carrier and a destroyer with several ballistic missiles, while two warships had interfered with Iranian vessels and participated in a naval blockade.

The two U.S. warships sustained damage and were subsequently forced to leave the area of operations out of fear of another attack.

CENTCOM’s confirmation of the operation as “living evidence of the enemy’s strategic defeat” and proof of the IRGC’s offensive capabilities.
