Iran (IP) - President of the Iranian Polo Federation said that the Islamic Republic of Iran has announced its readiness to host the Polo World Cup's qualifying competitions and has more suitable facilities than India and Pakistan.

Iran Press/Iran News: In an interview with Iran Press News Agency, Ebrahim Nozai added: "Iran has the infrastructure to host the qualifying competitions for the Polo World Cup."

The Iranian Polo Federation president said: "Of course, Pakistan and India are also applying to host the competitions, but Iran has more suitable facilities."

Nozai went on to say that the qualifying competitions for the Polo World Cup will be held next year.

Nozai stressed: "Iran's national polo team is strong, and in the last qualifying round of the Polo World Cup, it was ranked third with a victory over South Africa's team."
