New Delhi (IP) - The second trilateral consultations between India, Iran, and Armenia were held in New Delhi.

Iran Press/Asia: According to the Iran Press Agency from New Delhi, the meeting was led by J.P. Singh, Secretary of the Department of Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, Anahit Karapetyan, Head of the Department of Asia and the Pacific of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, and Hashem Ashjazadeh, Director General of the Department of South Asia of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

During the consultations, the delegations emphasized the need to strengthen close cooperation within the framework of the North-South Corridor project and highlighted the role of Chabahar Port in this regard.

The Armenian side also briefed the participants on the "Crossroads of Peace" project.

Building on the results of previous trilateral consultations held in Yerevan in April 2023, the sides discussed connectivity initiatives, participation in multilateral forums, and regional developments.

The three countries also explored ways to promote trade, tourism, and cultural exchanges while strengthening people-to-people contacts. 204
