TEHRAN (IP) - Iranian Health Minister Mohammad Reza Zafarghandi announced that Iran aims to be a regional hub for nuclear medicine and radiopharmaceuticals.

Iran PressIran news: Regarding the cooperation between the Health Ministry and Atomic Energy Organization, efforts are being made for Iran to be a regional hub in the field of nuclear medicine and radiopharmaceuticals, Mohammad Reza Zafarghandi, Iranian Health Minister on Thursday at the sideline Iran's Nuclear Achievements Exhibition told Iran Press.

Zafarghandi stated that One of the objectives of my visit to the AEOI Exhibition is to monitor the ongoing research activities in the field of nuclear medicine and radiopharmaceuticals to issue licenses for clinical phases across the country.

Iran's Health Minister stated: Currently, the capacity of Iran's health ministry in the field of nuclear medicine is annually one million people which is a significant number.

Minister of Health stated that the activities in the field of nuclear medicine pursued by the Atomic Energy Organization are focused on producing medications for treatments, which are being carried out in various dimensions, as well as being related to work on advanced diagnostic methods.
