Islamabad (IP) - Iran's Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, met with Pakistan's Federal Minister for Privatization, Board of Investment, and Communications, Abdul Aleem Khan, on Friday.

Iran Press/Asia: Iran's Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, and Pakistani Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan engaged in discussions on matters of mutual interest, focusing on bilateral cooperation and promotion. Both dignitaries explored the possibilities of enhancing trade and investment between their respective countries.

Abdul Aleem Khan discussed road infrastructure and trade corridors with the Iranian Ambassador. He expressed Pakistan's eagerness to further strengthen its relations with Iran, emphasizing that mutual cooperation in complex international scenarios would benefit both nations. He mentioned that Pakistan is following a coordinated roadmap to boost foreign investment, highlighting the country's improving economy and attractive opportunities for investors. Khan also underscored the potential for Pakistan and Iran to benefit from each other's experiences and capabilities, calling for increased cooperation in all sectors and the removal of barriers to trade and investment.

During the meeting, Amiri Moghadam highlighted the deep bond between Pakistan and Iran, not just as neighbors but as brotherly nations with strong religious, social, cultural, and trade links. He expressed Iran's strong interest in expanding trade with Pakistan and taking advantage of the opportunities it offers. He stressed that enhancing bilateral facilities for traders, facilitating business delegation exchanges, and hosting trade exhibitions would significantly bolster trade. Moghadam assured that Iran is ready to provide comprehensive support for trade promotion, and the Pakistani business community can greatly benefit from the experience and expertise of Iranian traders and trade institutions.
