National security secretaries and advisers of Iran, Russia, China, India and Afghanistan will hold a meeting in Tehran on Wednesday.

Iran Press/Irannews:  At the one-day ‘Regional Security Dialogue’ meeting on Wednesday, ways of fighting terrorism, extremism and new threats posed by the phenomena in West Asia will be discussed.

The participants of the meeting who will be the national security secretaries and advisors of Iran, Russia, China, India and Afghanistan, will also take part in bilateral meetings and talks, IRNA reported.

The current situation in Afghanistan and issues relating to the Taliban movement will be discussed at multilateral meetings in Tehran.

The security officials are also expected to hold separate bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the event.

Keyvan Khosravi, a spokesman for Iran's supreme national security council hoped that the meeting would initiate the process of building regional contributions in relation to security challenges and bring back peace and prosperity to regional countries worst affected by terrorism.
