Iran Press/Iran news: Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Senior commander Brigadier General Gholamreza Soleimani said on Sunday morning on the occasion of Basij Week: "The presence of millions of Basijis on the battlefield could transform the threats and challenges of the Islamic Republic of Iran into good opportunities."
During an open session of Parliament on Sunday morning, Soleimani made it clear that Basij has played a good role in Iran by entering the fields of construction, elimination of deprivation and resistance economy.
He further stated: "With new approaches, Basij could bring about a strategic change in the resistance economy and unemployment issue in Iran."
Soleimani also referred to the formation of Basij in Iraq, Syria, and Yemen, adding that "Today, the spread of Basij is visible in other Islamic countries too.
