Tehran (IP) – The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) World Services said media cooperation between Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) member states is a potential for strengthening the civil, cultural, and particularly economic interrelations.

Iran PressIran news: Peyman Jebelli, Head of IRIB World Service, referred to Economic Cooperation Organization Media Union (ECOMU) member states and said that the countries enjoy high potentials for exchanges in cultural, economic, and civil areas and also regional cooperation.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Iran Press, IRIB World Service head said that the potentials provide a very good base to enhance the cooperation between the ECO countries specially the media cooperation to strengthen the civil, cultural, and particularly economic interrelations among the countries.

Jebelli said that ECOMU would be a very good beginning of the cooperation, expressing hope that it could serve the nations of the region, Iran Press reported.

On Tuesday, a meeting of ECOMU countries was held in Tehran, participated by the representative countries including Pakistani, Turkish, Afghanistan, and Kazakhstan, on the suggestion of IRIB World Service.

Peyman Jebelli in the meeting, described ECOMU as a good media collaboration with the centrality of IRIB. 207/219
