Iranian President urged the western countries to stop providing arms to Saudi Arabia which are used for killing Yemeni people.

Iran Press/America: Addressing a presser on Thursday on the sidelines of the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that the western countries must stop providing arms to Saudi Arabia which it uses to kill Yemeni people.

Rouhani added that Yemeni people have a legitimate right to defend themselves against any aggression.

In response to US officials' accusations against Iran in the recent Saudi oil facilities attack, he said that it is known that Yemeni forces have missiles and drones that can hit distant targets.

Rouhani warned that those who claim Iran is behind attacks on Aramco must provide evidence.

The leader of Yemen’s Houthi Ansarullah movement Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said earlier that it can hit 'strategic targets' in the Saudi kingdom and its closest regional ally unless the invaders observe a UN-brokered ceasefire.

The President went on to say that the only way to ensure security is constructive dialog among regional nations.

Rouhani also stressed that the regional crisis can be resolved only through diplomacy.

He noted that he had talks with the world leaders about the Iran Nuclear Deal, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
