Tehran (IP) - Head of Tehran's Task Force for Fighting Coronavirus elaborated on the home-made application called 'Riske Man' (My Risk), working based on artificial intelligence to help diagnose COVID-19.

Iran Press/Iran News: Alireza Zali referred to the numerous apps in the world and said by using the 'Riske Man' application, the hospitals had succeeded to collect 104,000 pieces of information about the clinical status of the patients, based on demography, illness background, risk factors history, sex, blood group, clinical status, clinical symptoms type, drugs used before contracting coronavirus, and drugs used during COVID treatment.

Using all of the information processed out of 3 million data collected from the contracted patients' records, the app was managed to be achieved, Zali told Iran Press in an interview on Saturday.

"If you use the app today, you can guess based on your initial information, which is not so sophisticated and is defined within the scope of public knowledge, that whether I am going to contract COVID or not," he told Iran Press correspondent.

He further explained that the app gives such other predicted information that whether the COVID-19 is on a high, medium, or low level, or the disease is accompanied by respiratory or digestive, gustatory, and olfactory problems as well as when one must go to a hospital in case their symptoms get worse.

The app is also able to manage the process of hospitalization, including the section and the duration of hospitalization as well as the kind of treatments for the patient, Zali added.

He also referred to the usage of the app in society, saying it could distinguish those high-risk coronavirus patients, exempt them from in-person working, facilitate home quarantine, and reduce in-person references to hospitals.

As with the vaccine distribution, the app could also help prioritize the vaccine receivers based on the risk-threat level for those of similar ages, Zali highlighted.
